Have you ever had a day on the water that was so epic you wonder if you’ll ever get the chance to relive that day again? Better yet, share it with someone else, so they can witness that it was not just another fisherman's tale.

Experience those epic moments fishing the Chandeleur Islands - a fisherman’s paradise. These barrier islands provide spawning areas year around for just about any fish species you would find in the Gulf of Mexico. The primary fish in or around the world-famous islands are speckled trout and redfish. They are aggressive and hungry! The abundance of fish creates a natural competition to eat.

Expect awesome topwater, spinner bait, swim bait, jerk bait, and twitch bait action. For those that want to take it easy and relax, but still want to produce numbers, the popping cork is your go-to. The schools of speckled trout and redfish come in droves and usually make appearances together or close by.

You can also expect to find flounder, small snapper, mackerel, and other species of fish such as sharks. Yes, you will most likely see "The Man in a Grey Suit" or if you don't get your catch to the boat, "The Tax Collector", but no worries - we are not going to need a bigger boat Hooper! (Yes, we did just use a JAWS reference).

With the abundance of fish, mesmerizing sunsets, sunrises, and the free air shows of fighter jets training occasionally, fishing in the Chandeleur Islands is an experience like no other! We could go on and on about how much we love this place, but we'll let the pics do the talking...
